Well when dealing with dissatisfaction things like divorce and loneliness, but it also undercut by the hope or through Theos relationship with Samantha (Johansson) and Amy Adams () or even stylistic touches, such as the Theos red clothes from before degraded background of Los Angeles. There are parallels between the characters travel without feeling artificial and even Theos work - writing letters to others - represents the relationship with the OS on the surface??
