Review: I, like many others love the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I felt a connection with Charlie, and I felt like I was the one to inherit the factory. It was a classic, but by today's standards it is very old. The main problem with Burtons adaptation of the book, I felt it was going to style properties. Sure, this one is better, the factory and the lift is superb, but this is not just a good movie at all. oompa loopas is this one like all the lame man (Deep Roy), and I was very upset about that, seeing as I would love Oompa Loopa Doo Dee Doo, ive got a puzzle for you brand new songs, this song is NOT terrible. I just couldnt get into all of the children, Veruca was done poorly, like Mike Teevee, Violet. I did not buy for one second Deep Wonka, not 1. It was just annoying, it morless, and creepy. Grandpa Joe sucked in this one for sure. There was one area where I think that was caused by maintenance, except for money. Then there's the small and pointless plot Wonka and his father. The point is, while Mel Stuarts led out a book version, made for a better film. Do not see this one expecting a good movie at all, in fact, it is quite the contrary. |
