Review: I went to see it on Sunday, thinking it would be an awesome picture that was Casino Royale. Unfortunately, it was not. Quantum of Solace continues to operate, a girl and explosions you might expect, but is still missing something. By removing the gadgets, the car (just about the first 5 minutes) and improvisation you might expect from a James Bond movie is that it has taken what is essentially a Bond movie, and that you are left with a story. And the story was not well thought out. Many moments left me wondering: what's the point?. The film is much darker, especially the character of revenge, but there was a movie I expected it to be. Good watch, better than any other in the film now, but not a good movie as I thought, and I felt a little disappointed leaving. Until 7/10, but probably 6/10 |
